Handful for Harvey

St. Augustine (Fla.) Menendez High School senior linebacker Willie Harvey recently picked up his fifth offer.

St. Augustine (Fla.) Menendez High School linebacker Willie Harvey has added a new scholarship offer giving him five colleges choices to-date. The 6-foot-0 and 208-pound linebacker's latest offer comes from Western Michigan according Menendez head coach Patrick Turner.

"Willie's offers are from Western Michigan, Southern Miss, Marshall, FAU and Western Kentucky," said Coach Turner.

Harvey had a break-out year as a junior making 97 tackles last season. This season he bettered that number substantially totaling 131 total tackles including four sacks. The senior also has a blocked kick to his credit this season.

"In my opinion Willie is the best linebacker in northeast Florida and we have some real good linebackers in north Florida this year. I would put him up against any of them. He's a ball hawking linebacker. He is instinctual, he's a leader. It's Willie's defense he makes the calls and gets everybody lined up, he's savvy," continued Coach Turner of Harvey.

The list of schools that have also shown interest in Harvey include South Florida and UCF.
