2015 Chaska (MN) offensive tackle Bronson Dovich has hit the recruiting radar. At 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds, he will continue to hear from top schools in the country. Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Northwestern are a few schools that have reached out to the junior.
Dovich was in Iowa City on Saturday to get his first taste of the Hawkeyes' program and came away with strong impressions.
"It was an awesome experience," Dovich said. "I got to see all the facilities and I was able to get a feel of what being a Hawkeye is all about."
Dovich wasn't able to get to Iowa City as early as he hoped but still had a lot to take away from his visit.
I arrived a little late so I didn't get the chance to talk to any of the coaches," he explained. "I was hoping to so I could get an idea of where I was at on their board but I'm sure I'll have other chances to."
"I'm currently working on my highlight film and I'm going to send that to them when I finish it up," he added. "After that I think I will get a better understanding of where I'm at for them."
The junior from Minnesota learned a lot on his trip to see Iowa.
I definitely was able to learn a lot more about Iowa," Dovich admitted. "I learned a lot about what kind of routine the players go through everyday. It was cool to see everything it takes to be an Iowa football player."
"They impressed me a lot on both sides of the ball," he continued. "They came out really hard in the second half and got a great win."
