Saturday: Mesquite (Texas) Poteet vs. Whitehouse (Texas) at Allen Eagle Stadium at 1:00 p.m. CST
Poteet features a tough defense led by Scout.com's No. 1 player in the region in the Class of 2015, linebacker Malik Jefferson. Jefferson will put plenty of pressure on the Whitehouse offense. In the secondary they will also have Baylor defensive back commit Verkedric Vaughns and SMU commit Nathaniel Gaines. Gaines plays safety and Vaughns locks down half of the field at corner. Offensively, junior receiver DeAndre McNe`al has emerged as an offensive threat. Whitehouse will be without junior safety Justin Dunning, a Texas A&M commit, who is out with an ACL tear. Linebacker Reggie Long will have to step up in a major way. But Whitehouse will be able to move the ball on offense behind Texas Tech quarterback commit Patrick Mahomes, who has had two great games to get the playoffs started.

Friday, November 29: Brenham (Tex.) vs. Texas City (Tex.) at 7:30 p.m. CST
In the Class 4A Division, this game could pull people away from the 95-dollar television Black Friday deal to catch a great match up. For Brenham, versatile athlete Courtland Sutton will make plays on both sides of the ball. Offensive tackle Austin Schlottmann leads a good line group and is a TCU commitment. On defense, linebacker D'Vonta Hinton is a player to watch as well. Texas City has been an interesting story thus far and while the offense gets plenty of headlines, the defense has been equally impressive, pitching shutouts in a quarter of its game this season. Quarterback Andrew Allen, a New Mexico State commit, leads the offense that has not trouble scoring when it needs to. It helps that Allen has a couple of brothers in the backfield and on the edge to make plays as well. D'Onta Foreman is nearing the 2,000-yard mark and has been doing the heavy lifting for most of the season. All-purpose athlete Armanti Foreman, as a receiver has been the go-to guy in the passing game. But he is also effective in the secondary and leads the team interceptions. Both of the Foreman brothers are Texas commitments.
Saturday, November 30: Magnolia (Tex.) West vs. Pearland (Tex.) Dawson at 2 p.m. CST
Last week West pulled off a win that caught many off guard so next up is a Dawson team that has been playing great this year as well. Already at the 10-win mark for the year, Dawson comes into the game with a number of playmakers, headlined by wide receiver Tony Upchurch. The LSU commit Upchurch has over 50 catches on the year so far. In the backfield, Bryce Winnegan keeps the chains moving for Dawson with the ground game., Texas State commit Cody Casey leads the way on defense. For West, offensive lineman Seth Blendermann will protect and give quarterback Troy Logan time to make plays. Three-star Baylor defensive end commit Xavier Jones heads up the defense.
