Neal has three offers

Moe Neal is one of the top 2016 prospects in North Carolina. The Gastonia (N.C.) Forestview running back/wide receiver spoke with about the latest developments in his recruitment.

"I have offers from Mississippi State, Akron and UNC-Charlotte," said Moe Neal. "I'm also hearing from North Carolina, N.C. State, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Michigan, Tennessee, Notre Dame and South Carolina.

"Of the schools that haven't offered, Boston College and Vanderbilt are recruiting me the hardest. I think Boston College is the closest to offering, though. They've told me they like to offer in person, so I'm going to try to go up there for a basketball game."

His most recent visit was to Vanderbilt.

"I enjoyed meeting all the coaches, going down on the field and seeing the atmosphere," said the 5-foot-11, 170-pound Neal. "The coaches told me that they wanted to keep in touch and that they looked forward to building a relationship with me."

He has also taken other trips.

"I've also been to North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee and South Carolina," he said. "And I'm going to try to get down to Mississippi State soon."

Despite all the interest, Neal is not ready to name any favorites and remains wide open at this time.

On the season, Neal has has nearly 800 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns and almost 800 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. On special teams, he has over 400 yards in kickoff returns.
