Monroe Lands First Offer has an update on Bush receiver Donald Monroe from Richmond, Texas. He has finally received the news he had been waiting for.

It was about one month ago that Richmond (Tex.) Bush wide receiver Donald Monroe felt his first offer would come. And yesterday, that happened.

"I just picked up an offer from Montana State. It's my first one," Monroe said. "I'm very excited right now."

Aside from this new development, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Monroe said that North Texas is the other program showing the most interest. Monroe said that the Montana State coaches will be coming down in the coming weeks to set up and in-home, and possibly a future official visit. Colorado State is another program pursing Monroe as well.

"These coaches like how I don't wait on the ball. I go and get it," Monroe said.

This season was his best since playing at Bush. Monroe caught 62 passes for 899 yards and 13 touchdowns.
