Deontae Crumitie Back from the Swamp

Head coach Will Muschamp and the rest of the Gator coaching staff are looking to bring in four to five offensive linemen this recruiting cycle. The Gators have three high school offensive linemen currently committed and are looking for more.

Deontae Crumitie is a 6-foot-3, 280-pound offensive tackle checking in from Lake City (Fla.) Columbia high school-South. Crumitie visited earlier today as the Gators hosted arch rival Florida State to close out the season.

"It's great," Deontae Crumitie said. "I think after today I will have an offer. We have talked about it since Friday Night Lights."

After the game the mood was a bit different but Crumitie did enjoy himself.

"It was ok," Crumitie said. I talked to (offensive line coach) [Tim] Davis and he wants me to play for him. I hung out with [Travaris] Dorsey and CeCe [Jefferson] and speaking with the coaches was the best part."

Crumitie has been under the radar this recruiting season and has offers from Western Kentucky, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Alabama Birmingham, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Samford and South Alabama.

"My strength is the best part of my game," Crumitie said. "I would like to work on playing defense. Again, the size I am at now I can improve and I just feel like I can really show my strength and speed to the coaches. They told me I play like a 300-pound beast."
