QB Takes Another Trip To Michigan

Trotwood-Madison sophomore quarterback Messiah deWeaver has his time back in the championship game in Division-III of the Ohio playoffs again this year. One of Ohio's top 2016 prospects, deWeaver visited Michigan again last weekend.

Michigan hosted several top recruits this past weekend for their game with Ohio State, including Trotwood-Madison sophomore quarterback Messiah deWeaver.

After starring Friday night in a semi-final playoff win, deWeaver has his team back in the championship game in Division-III in Ohio. He threw for over 400 yards with six touchdowns the night before visiting Michigan.

"We had a big win Friday and we are throwing the ball a lot right now," deWeaver stated. "We play for the championship next weekend and we are ready for that. I went up to Michigan again Saturday, so it was a great weekend. I was at Michigan earlier this year for the Notre Dame game, and it was cool to be back up there again."

Although the Wolverines came up one point short in their bid for a huge win, deWeaver came away impressed with what he saw.

"It was good to catch up with the coaches again, and a couple of them are supposed to be at our playoff game this weekend," he explained. "The atmosphere was very similar to the Notre Dame game, and I loved it up there. I know the coaches were very disappointed in the game, but they were very positive with me."

"I spoke with Coach (Al) Borges and Coach (Mark) Smith, and they impressed me with how they handled themselves," deWeaver added. "I saw them after they beat Notre Dame, but everybody is cool when they win. I wouldn't say Michigan is my favorite, but I think a lot of the program and being there Saturday only made it better. They've mentioned a possible offer before, and I'd love to have one from them."

deWeaver already holds an offer from Louisville and is being recruited by the likes of Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and others.
