Green Hosts ULM

Marcus Green remains a popular name in the state of Mississippi. The North Pontotoc star is currently committed to Louisiana-Monroe, but is still getting some interest from the home state Bulldogs of Mississippi State. The Bulldogs were in town earlier this week, but last night ULM had the table.

"Last night, Coach (Mario) Price came by the house and my mom cooked," said Green. "He told me a lot about my future there.

"He said he truly believes that if I come in and work hard that I have a chance to play on the next level."

The talented slot receiver reports that he feels a special kinship with Coach who is his area recruiter and his prospective position coach.

"I think it's good that I already have such a good relationship with the coach who is going to be coaching me," said Green. "There may be some receiver in Texas that is coming, but he may not even really know Coach Price like I do.

"We have really developed a great relationship and I feel real lucky to have had him as my recruiting coach."

Green is doing some things on his own to aid in the Warhawks' recruiting efforts.

"D (D'marius Gillespie) and I have become like best friends," said Green. "We can talk about anything.

"I have been messaging some with Fred Trevillion and he has been asking me all about the campus since I have been over there twice.

"I have been telling him some god things about everything that I saw."

Green is set to take an official visit to ULM the weekend of January 18th and an official visit to Mississippi State the weekend of January 25th.
