With the start of the NCAA contact period, Paul VI High School (NJ) receiver Irvin Charles has already had coaches coming to visit his school. Charles grew up a fan of one of the schools visiting and was happy to have them visit his school.

Irvin has several offers and more could be coming now that coaches are stopping by his school. One of those coaches was Coach Bryan Cook from Georgia Tech. ""He left some forms for me to fill out and he told my coach that I should be expecting an offer in the next couple of weeks."

Charles is aware that Tech is looking for bigger, versatile, athletic receivers. "They want to incorporate more passing into their offense and are looking for big receivers that can dominate corners and safeties." Charles fits that mold at 6'4"-210. "I have great speed and Coach Cook told my coach that he loved my film and what he has seen of me on the field."

An invite to Georgia Tech's Junior Days has been extended to Irvin. "I am looking forward to making that visit." Charles has been a fan of Tech for some time now. "Knowing an offer is close is very exciting. Everything I learned from Coach Cook's visit has raised my interest in Georgia Tech."

As he begins to look at schools before making his decision, Irvin will be looking for a school where he fits in with everyone. Charles will also be looking for a school that develops him athletically and academically. "I want to have opportunities both on and off the field." Charles wants to major in Communications and is looking for a school that will provide him with internship opportunities.

Irvin is looking to make his decision next year during his senior season or shortly after his season ends.
