Lee Honored By Offer Number Eight

It's been a busy past few weeks for Blue Springs DE/LB Elijah Lee. Along with winning the Missouri Class 6 State Championship for the second year in a row, and picking up multiple honors for his play in 2013, he found out he had a new offer.

Blue Springs (MO) DE/LB Elijah Lee 6'4" 215 has had an exciting past few weeks with his team winning it's second Class 6 State Championship in a row, him being named first team All-State and Class 6 Defensive Player of the Year by the state football coaches association and sportswriters, and also winning the Buck Buchanan award for the best defensive linemen/linebacker in the Kansas City area for the second year in a row.

On top of winning the Buchanan award yesterday, Lee picked up confirmation that he has an offer from the University of Missouri.

"I think its a big honor to receive an offer from them," said Lee. "Apparently, there was miscommunication with the offer. They said they had offered me earlier, but that it just didn't come to my address. Coach Hill informed me of that."

The speedy defender, who recorded 85 tackles and 12 sacks this past season, spoke highly of what he saw from Mizzou this past season.

"The program is on a rise and its been fun watching what they can do in the SEC," he said, while also informing me that the Tigers are recruiting him as a defensive end.

Lee has been committed to Kansas State since March, and took his official visit there this past weekend. Missouri became his eight offer overall.

I asked Elijah about the possibility of Mizzou now getting an official visit now that he knows about his offer from them?

"I have to sit down and talk with my Mom about it," said Lee.

Missouri is also in the process of trying to flip another Kansas State commit and Blue Springs teammate of Lee in safety Kaleb Prewett.

It is uncertain at this time where the new knowledge of his Missouri offer might take things, including a possible visit to Missouri. However,ShowMeMizzou.com will keep you updated on further developments with Lee.
