Glenbard West (Ill.) three-star defensive back Hayden Carlson picked Yale over the weekend.

The 5-foot-11, 185 pound prospect visited for his official visit and then committed soon after.

"It felt really comfortable," Carlson said. "I have developed a close relationship with the coaches and I knew I would fit in nice for the next four years at Yale."

Carlson knew that Yale was the right place for him after visiting.

"I committed after my visit," Carlson said. "I was really impressed with the campus and all the people there."

And to commit? Carlson kept it simple.

"I just gave a few of Yale's coaches a call," Carlson said. "My high school coaches were very excited for me, and were happy that I was done with the process."

From this point on, Carlson is looking forward to being a committed prospect and the rest of his senior season.

"I am looking forward to enjoying the rest of my senior year and preparing myself for football at the next level," Carlson said.
