Claude Talks Offer & State Championship

With his junior season complete and a state championship, Champagnat Catholic (Florida) wide receiver Steven Claude is ready to get his recruitment going.

Steven Claude, 6-foot-2, 185-pound, finish his junior season with 697 yards (40 catches) and 7 touchdowns. Champagnat Catholic went on to beat Lakeland Victory Christian 14-7 for the Florida 2A State Championship.

"We've been ready for this game since the beginning of the year," explained Claude. "We were fully prepared for it, we went out there with the mind state to win it and we came out victorious."

With three offers already on the table from Duke, UCF and South Florida, Claude received his fourth offer from Cincinnati.

"I was excepting an offer but not this soon," said Claude. "I thought they would offer meting the summer time."

With fellow teammate and 2014 class recruit Franklin Labady already committed to UC, one has to wonder will Claude follow his teammate next year?

"It's too early to tell," Claude said. "I know Franklin loves Cincinnati so he's just telling us all about it, all about the recruiting situation, how they did him and he's making it sound good but still too early to tell if we're go to follow his footsteps."
