USAAAB: Stephan's Recruiting Notebook - Day 2

SAN ANTONIO -- A few recruiting nuggets from Tuesday's West Army-All American Bowl practices...

DB C.J. Hampton

Meridian HS | MS
Team: West
Region: Southeast
Recruiting: Ole Miss
Recruiting Dish: Hampton will enroll at Ole Miss on the Tuesday following the US Army All-American Bowl. This week, he is rooming with receiver Markell Pack, another Rebel commit. Hampton says he's been doing a little recruiting, including talking with receiver Trey Quinn and linebacker Kenny Young.

DT Josh Frazier

Har-Ber HS | AR
Team: West
Region: Southeast
Recruiting: Alabama
Recruiting Dish: Frazier is a recent Alabama commit and says he chose the program because he feels that it puts him in the best position for success, as he believes he could see the field as a true freshman. Frazier also mentioned that the Nick Saban rumors never phased him; "I knew he wasn't going anywhere."

DB Nick Harvey

Sugar Land Travis HS | TX
Team: West
Region: Midlands
Recruiting: Texas A&M
Recruiting Dish: With A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin signing a six-year extension, Harvey said his commitment to the program is "over 100%." He is spending some time with Aggie commits and targets this week.

QB Kyle Allen

Desert Mountain HS | AZ
Team: West
Region: West
Recruiting: Texas A&M
Recruiting Dish: Allen is an early enrollee and will head to College Station in a couple of weeks. Allen has been working out with a number of receivers, including Aggie target Frank Iheanacho, with whom he says he's been friendly.

DL Bijhon Jackson

El Dorado HS | AR
Team: West
Region: Southeast
Recruiting: Arkansas
Recruiting Dish: The lone Arkansas commit in the game (and one of two athletes from the state), Jackson says he is representing both this week and is enjoying playing alongside top talent. While he's still waiting to hear who the next defensive line coach will be, Jackson says the vacancy has no impact on his commitment, which is solid.

LB Zach Whitley

Galena Park North Shore HS | TX
Team: West
Region: Midlands
Recruiting: Alabama, UCLA
Recruiting Dish: Whitley said more than once that he is still committed to Alabama, but that he has yet to sign with the program (he is an early enrollee). UCLA is still recruiting Whitley, who should be signing within the next few weeks.
