Semper Fi: Nolan Kelleher

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- Nolan Kelleher committed to Florida in August. The Mt Pleasant (S.C.) Wando offensive tackle spoke with about his decision to join the Gators, recruitment and more.

Nolan Kelleher is participating in the Semper Fi All-American Bowl this week and is looking forward to the opportunity.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how the players act around such honorable people," said the 6-foot-5, 296-pound Kelleher. "I'm just excited to have a chance to play with all these guys because they're great players and really good people."

Kelleher has been committed to Florida for nearly five months.

"It just seems like a good place for me," he said. "The coaching staff is great not just with football, but there good people, too. They're just great to be around and the more you're around them the better person you become.

"It's also a great school for mechanical engineering which is going to be my major and the campus is awesome."

Although he is firmly committed to Florida, other schools are still pursuing him – mainly Auburn and Florida State. However, he is not interested.

"My coach has really helped me and taken all the responsibility keeping that sort of thing away from me," he said. "And he's basically told all the schools I want to stay with Florida unless anything major happens."

With his recruitment out the way, Kelleher's main focus is having a successful week against some of the best players in the country.

"I just want to get better," Kelleher said. "It's a great opportunity to play against some of the best athletes in the nation."
