Salomon, 6-foot-3, 180-pounds, impressed last week at the Army Junior Combine in San Antonio, using his strength and route running ability to earn one of the top wide receiver spots. He is a top 2016 prospect in Florida.
"This is a great experience being in San Antonio, and it's my first time here," Salomon stated. "There is some great competition here and I've learned a lot from these coaches. I think I showed my speed and my ability to run the correct routes."
"Recruiting is going great for me, and I'm talking to a lot of schools right now," he explained. "Florida and Arkansas have not offered yet, but I think both are very close. I grew up rooting for Florida, and I'm being recruited by Coach (Travaris) Robinson. I haven't visited there yet, but I'm going to."
"Arkansas is a great school and a great environment, and I'd love to have that offer," he added. "Miami is a school I'm very close with, and if I went there my family would be able to see me play. I was there for Friday Night Lights and loved it. All the coaches were great to me there. I also think a lot of LSU, and I like everything about their program, the same with a great school like Alabama. I've been to both places, and I will be going back to LSU and Alabama this summer.
There are more than a few schools Salomon is hoping to receive offers from, and he talked about a few.
"I would love to have offers from Oregon, Ohio State and Notre Dame, and those would be big schools to me," Salomon admitted. "I want to visit Oregon next summer. I don't know much about Ohio State, but I just like what Urban Meyer is doing. We take a summer tour every year, and I'm hoping we get up to Ohio State and Notre Dame."
"Distance won't be a problem for me at all, and my parents actually want me to go out of state for college," he stressed.
Scout.com will get a good look at Salomon January 18-19 at the South Florida Express 7on7 tryouts in Hollywood.
