Bishop Meige (KS.) quarterback Ryan Willis is one of the better prospects in the state of Kansas. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound junior had a big season and it shows in his recruiting interest.

Ryan Willis is poised to be one of the top recruited quarterbacks in the Midwest. And for good reason. The junior signal caller threw for almost 3000 yards and 31 touchdowns in nine games. It's clear that Willis is an effective prospect.

"I am a pocket passer that loves to throw it around the field. But I can also make plays with my feet," Willis said.

With one offer in hand, Willis may be close to adding a couple of others.

"Kansas State has offered and Oklahoma State appears to be close to offering, as well as Iowa State," he continued. "Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Missouri and Iowa State are in contact with me the most."

Willis has also had a chance to talk with the head man at Iowa State, Paul Rhoads. And he's keeping a close eye on the new Offensive Coordinator at Iowa State, Mark Mangino.

"Coach Rhoads came by to see me at the school last month. We talked for a while. I really like him as a coach and a person.

"I really like what Coach Rhoads brings to the table and I am interested to see what Coach Mangino is going to do with the offense," Willis finished.

Willis is from an athletic family. His mother was an All-American track athlete at Iowa State in the 80s. His father played football at Kansas State. His sisters both played college basketball at Saint Louis.
