"Things went pretty well during my visit," said Green. "I had a chance to chill with some of the players, I was shown around by my host Chaz Sutton, and I had a chance to meet with some of the other recruits.
"It was just a chill visit and I really enjoyed it up there."
The coaches did not press the four-star corner out of Lithonia (Ga.) M.L.K. to make a decision over the weekend. The two parties know each other so well that they just kept the conversation light most of the time.
"We really talk a lot each week, so it was really no different than our typical conversations on the phone or when they are at the school. There was no pressure to commit, it was just normal conversations, and it was cool. It was just normal with all the coaches and I really liked that."
The 5-foot-11, 170 pound senior did feel some pressure with the other Gamecock commitments.
He knows many of them and he feels a connection there.
"We all have a good connection. I am from Florida, so me and Chris Lammons have a connection with him being from there, and it is cool. Of course I know Bryson Allen-Williams, D.J. Smith, and guys like that too because they are from Georgia.
"I enjoyed being around those guys to be honest. We talked about playing together at South Carolina, the commits worked on me a little, and it was cool."
With only one official visit left, the Gamecocks are in the pole position.
It will just need to hold off Georgia.
"South Carolina does have the lead," said Green. "It was a good visit and I feel comfortable there. I want to see what happens at Georgia and get to know Coach Jeremy Pruitt, the new defensive coordinator there. I like the coaches at South Carolina and I want to see how I blend in at Georgia.
"My decision is going to about the two official visits. The one to Georgia will be important just like this one to South Carolina was. I am staying home next weekend, so I will do some research on both schools."
Green has decided that he will announce his decision on signing day, February 5, on Fox Sports South. It will be live at 5pm ET on The New College Football Show: The Next Class.
