Columbus (OH) Bishop Ready offensive tackle Brady Taylor has told Scout that he has committed to Ohio State. The one-time Virginia Tech commit was recently offered by Ohio State and took his official visit this past weekend.
"I'm officially a Buckeye," said Taylor. "I'm excited."
The main reason Taylor made the decision to flip to the Buckeyes was it being a childhood dream.
"I've always enjoyed it here," admitted Taylor. It's everything I've always wanted. Everybody dreams of opportunities like this. Some kids want to grow up and be an astronaut and stuff like that. I wanted to be an Ohio State football player. When I was given that opportunity, I couldn't pass it up."
Taylor is proud of the path he has took. His dream has come true and now he sees the result of his hard work.
"I'm proud of myself," he explained. "It was a goal that I had to really work for. I was finally repaid for work I put in. I'm finally a Buckeye. I'm ready to get in and do the work to get ahead of the game."
"I know I'm a possible redshirt candidate," he added. "College is a whole new pace. I'll need more weight. That's the plan right now. A redshirt year is most likely. The second year at Ohio State I'll compete for the job and be ready to go.
Taylor is a three-star offensive tackle and the fifth offensive lineman added to the 2014 class. He is the 22nd commitment of the cycle for the Buckeyes.
