Western Kentucky picked up a quality prospect in Joe Brown on Sunday night. Brown picked the Hilltoppers after considering Purdue and Arizona in the recruiting process.

For Brown, it was came down to a couple of factors when he made the decision to attend Western Kentucky.

"Western Kentucky fits me better from a football and educational stand point out of all my choices," said Brown. "I'll end up playing a big role for the team. Mike Cassity wanted me to come in and start at corner as a true freshman."

Brown said that Coach Brohm and his staff were excited to add him to the 2014 class.

"They were really excited. They let me know from the beginning that I was their number one guy as a defensive back. Cassity has stayed on me since my sophomore year when he was at Kentucky," said Brown.
