Lewellyn picks Navy

Chad Lewellyn had a big senior season, helping Christian Academy of Louisville to a 10-2 record and a second round playoff appears. For his efforts, he picked up some scholarship offers and ultimately settled on one.

Chad Lewellyn took an official visit to Navy at the end of November. He made a return visit last weekend and decided to make his decision.

"I committed to Navy," said Lewellyn. "My visit last weekend was awesome. I got to spend some time with the players and learned about the amazing opportunities as a Midshipman," he said.

Lewellyn says he committed to his recruiting coach, Ashley Ingram and Head Coach Ken Niumatalolo.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound senior was had an offer from Butler, Weber State, Dayton and Navy. He picked up 53 catches for 742 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had 60 tackles and eight interceptions from his safety position.
