Gaillard gives Miami a look

Lamont Gaillard decided last week to give Miami a look. The Georgia commitment took a visit to Coral Gables and Scout has the latest here...

Lamont Gaillard is a quiet young man and he is not big on the interviews that comes with being one of the best out there in recruiting these days.

He did not confirm nor deny he is still committed to Georgia after his official visit to Miami this weekend.

The 6-foot-3, 320 pound defensive tackle out of Fayetteville (N.C.) Pine Forest did like what he saw at UM.

"The visit to Miami was really good, I had fun," said Gaillard. "The area is different than where UGA is, but both are great schools. Miami is in a very nice place."

Signing day is Wednesday and it looks like that is when all will know exactly where the four-star is going.

"I have a lot to talk about with my family and coaches. I will go from there," said Gaillard.

Gaillard committed to Georgia late in July and he had an in-home visit with UGA head coach Mark Richt just over a week ago.

He is currently the No. 13 defensive tackle in the country on Scout.

Chad Simmons is currently a National Recruiting Analyst for FOX Sports/Scout. He started with Scout in 2003 and then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager.
