Ohio Lineman Looking For First

Akron Hoban offensive lineman Ted Stieber has improved his game each of the past two seasons, and is set to have a fine finish to his career. Several college teams are showing interest.

Ted Stieber is one of the top 2015 offensive line prospects in Ohio, and the Akron Hoban offensive tackle has gotten better since becoming a starter as a sophomore.

Stieber, 6-foot-5, 290-pounds, is coming off a big junior season and is poised to have a strong finish as a senior.

"My junior year was definitely a big improvement, and my run blocking improved a lot with the change in our offense," Stieber stated. "My run blocking became my strength, after being a pass-blocker as a sophomore. I'm working on my footwork in my pass sets for next year."

Several colleges have brought him in for games and want him to attend various junior days, but Stieber is still waiting on his first offer.

"College recruiting is going good, but nobody has offered yet," he explained. "I have interest from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Cincinnati and Arkansas. I've been to junior days at Illinois, West Virginia and Toledo, and I will be going to Cincinnati in a few weeks."

"Last year, I went to games at Minnesota, Northwestern, Illinois and Indiana," he added. "All of them have stayed in touch, and most of them want to see me in camp this summer."

"My top three schools I want to camp at would be Minnesota, Northwestern and West Virginia," Stieber said. "I will be going to some other schools, but those three would be a must."
