2015 LB Woods Has Two New Offers

Lake City (Fla.) Columbia High School linebacker prospect Zedrick Woods has received two new scholarship offers. The 6-foot-0 and 190-pound junior has also started to hear from two of the state of Florida's Big Three.

Lake City (Fla.) Columbia High School junior linebacker Zedrick Woods is one north Florida prospect that is starting to see his recruiting profile and scholarship offer list grow. The 6-foot-0 and 190-pound defender has added two new offers to his list, giving him a total of four according to Columbia High School assistant football coach Quinton Callum.

"Zedrick has two new offers. Troy and Georgia Southern have both offered him," said Coach Callum.

The veteran assistant coach also says there are several teams that are planning on stopping by this spring to evaluate Woods in practice.

"Cincinnati is showing strong interest and could be close to offering. FSU is showing strong interest and are going to evaluate him further this spring and possibly this fall. Florida called and invited him to their junior day this past weekend but Zedrick had already planned on attending junior day at FSU," explained Coach Callum of the schools that have been inquiring about Woods.

Callum also says he wouldn't be surprised if Florida State looks at Woods as a strong safety prospect.

The active and physical linebacker has held offers from both North Carolina and Weber State since this past season. Akron and North Carolina State have also been in contact with the Columbia coaching staff about the sure tackling linebacker.

Woods was highly productive and disruptive totaling 94 tackles in 2013 including 14 tackles for a loss and 7.5 sacks.
