Grant gives the latest

Kalel Grant developed into a major offensive weapon for Woodbridge (Va.) last fall. The 2016 wide receiver spoke with about his recruitment, future and more.

Kalel Grant exploded onto to the scene for Woodbridge High School's football team last season.

"I thought I did well as a sophomore," said the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Grant. "I could have done better, but overall, I felt pretty good about the way I played."

In regards to his recruitment, Grant has gotten the attention of an ACC school.

"I talked to one of UNC's coaches," he said. "And I actually talked to my coach today and he told me about their upcoming junior day, so I'm go to that on Saturday."

Grant is intrigued by the Tar Heels.

"I'm interested in them," he said. "I like their program and it's a good school. It's also not too far from home, so I could have my mom and family could come support me."

It will be a busy summer for the rising junior.

"I play AAU basketball, but I'm going to try to go to some camps this summer," he said. "I'll probably go to UNC, Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech."

Despite a successful sophomore season, Grant is focused on becoming a better player.

"I'm working on getting faster and stronger," Grant said. "I really just want to become a better overall player."
