The 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback Cameron Ordway has created buzz after a huge junior season for Giles County High School. With that buzz came a load of scholarship offers, nine to be exact, one of the nine coming from the Cincinnati Bearcats.
"I haven't heard much from them in awhile, it's a blessing," Ordway said about receiving the offer from UC.
Ordway finished his junior season with 75 tackles and nine interceptions, breaking a Giles County HS record for picks in a season. The cornerback says he looks to do more in his upcoming senior season.
"I want to break the school record again for interceptions! lead the state in interceptions again and win a state championship."
Ordway currently holds offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Memphis, Penn State, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee and Vanderbilt. And at this time no one is really atop the list for him. He says wherever he goes, he plans to make an impact early.
"I want to make big plays as a freshman," he said.
