Jordan Davis a Wanted Man

The Nation's No 2 ranked tight end prospect gave an early verbal commitment to Texas A&M but that has not stopped the recruiting process. The Houston(TX) Clear Lakes high school standout is 6-foot-4, 250-pounds and his name is Jordan Davis.

Jordan Davis is the No 2 ranked tight end prospect in the country. He chose to make an early verbal commitment to the Aggies but that has not slowed down the recruiting process.

"Overall it's been getting crazy," Jordan Davis said. "I am getting into my senior year and everyone who needs a big time tight end is reaching out to me right now."

Davis has visited four different top tier programs.

"I've been to Oklahoma once, Texas once, Florida State once and A&M at least ten times," Davis said. "Right now Texas, Auburn, Texas Tech, LSU and Oklahoma are talking to me the most."

Davis will take some trips over the next several weeks but the destinations are not all known at this time.

"I'm not sure where all I'm going a lot of places want me to come up," Davis said. "I can't go to all of them so we'll just have to see."

Davis has a built in relationship with Texas tight end coach Bruce Chambers but his relationship with Charlie Strong is just beginning.

"Coach Chambers and I have a pretty good relationship," Davis said. "We don't catch up that much, but when I went to their junior Day last year we had a good time. I talked with Coach Strong for the first time a couple days ago. He seems like he has everything headed the right way."
