The Arkansas Razorbacks made a splash in the state of Texas on Friday, extending offers to three players in the state's 2015 class.
Recent TCU cornerback decommitment P.J. Mbanasor of Pflugerville Hendrickson received the first offer of the day. Mbanasor, whose offer list is approaching the 20 mark, holds offers from across the nation, including schools such as Baylor, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.
Mbanasor, a 6-foot-2, 182-pound four-star prospect who committed to TCU in late January, decommitted from the Horned Frogs on Wednesday.
Clear Falls three-star receiver John Humphrey saw his offer list reach double digits with the addition of a Friday offer from Arkansas.
The 6-foot, 165-pound Humphrey caught 66 passes for 816 yards and five touchdowns in 2013. He holds offers from five different conferences -- the ACC, SEC, Big 12, Pac-12, and AAC -- plus one independent (Notre Dame).
Another Houston-area receiver -- four-star Cypress Ridge product Kemah Siverand -- was the third Texan to receive an Arkansas offer Friday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Siverand has double-digit offers ranging from Texas and Texas A&M to Michigan State and Ohio State. Siverand caught 23 passes for 546 yards in 2013, when he averaged 23.7 yards per reception.
Two notable non-Texan prospects received Arkansas offers Friday afternoon: four-star Arizona receiver Christian Kirk, who's ranked as Scout.com's No. 4 receiver in the country's 2015 class, and three-star New Orleans running back Kirk Merritt. Kirk holds more than 30 offers, while Merritt has reached 20 offers.
