One last visit for Williams

Garrett Williams is down to four schools and he will likely be down to one before long. He has one visit scheduled and it will likely be the last one before he commits...

Florida State had Garrett Williams on campus March 1 and that is the school his father played for back in the 1980's.

FSU is an in-state school and Williams will leave the Sunshine State for what is likely his final visit before he selects his school.

"I am going to visit Stanford April 3-4 and my parents will be with me," said Williams. "Stanford is a top academic school, so it is a great opportunity for me. I really want to see what it is like out there in California."

The Cardinal wants Williams to be an H-Back in their offense and he is OK with that.

"I want to be moved around, I want to create mismatches, and I want to have an opportunity to make plays. I am OK with tight end or H-Back."

Williams saw how Auburn used its tight ends in recent years and the Tigers moved them around like jumbo-athletes.

That is one thing he likes about the Tigers, another one of his finalists.

"Auburn is led by Coach [Gus] Malzahn and I think he is a good leader and a good coach. He runs a great offense and they pretty much told me I would be doing a lot of the same thing their guys (C.J. Uzomah and Jay Prosch) did last year."

Along with Auburn, FSU, and Stanford, Clemson is still in the running for the four-star out of Orlando, Fla.

The Tigers are known for their consistency in recruiting and that stands out to Williams.

"I have gotten to know just about all of the coaching staff at Clemson," said Williams, "I like them all. The relationship I have with them is the best part about Clemson and I really like the environment up there too."

Before too long, Williams will announce that he is Tiger, Seminole, or Cardinal. He does not think it will be long after that visit to Palo Alto early in April.

"I think I could commit the week after that visit. I am not sure on that yet, but it will be pretty soon after that.

"I may have to take a little time to think about things if anything changes, but I see myself committing very soon after that visit."

All schools are even Williams said despite having the family-ties to FSU.

"I am going to what is best for me," said Williams. "I did grow up an FSU fan and FSU is a great school, but all schools are the same for me.

"I have not made my decision yet."
