Video: NFTC Orlando - Defense

Plenty of talented athletes took the field to compete at the Nike Football Training Camp in Orlando Saturday. National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Newberg and Amy Campbell break down which players stood out on defense right here.

On the defensive line, five-star defensive end Byron Cowart certainly came to compete. Cowart took home the defensive line MVP and an invite to The Opening. Andrew Ivie also performed well in the defensive line group. Several linebackers impressed including MVP Cecil Cherry. Sherrod Pittman, Shaquille Quarterman, and Carson Lyden also did well. For the defensive backs, Derwin James was once again dominant. The Florida State commit will be attending The Opening for a second year in a row. A few other defensive backs helped make names for themselves including Dante Thomas and Kenyatta Anderson.
