Offers piling up for Reid

Over the past few months, Rocky Reid's recruitment has exploded. Now, the 2015 Concord (N.C.) running back has double-digit scholarship offers.

"I'm up to 12 offers – Tennessee, N.C. State, Louisville, Arkansas, UMass, Wake Forest, Kansas State, UNC-Charlotte, East Carolina, Ohio, Georgia Tech and Elon," said Rocky Reid. "It feels good that I'm getting noticed, but I just have to keep grinding."

Along with the schools that have offered, Reid said South Carolina and Clemson are recruiting him.

His most recent visit was to an SEC school.

"I went to Tennessee two weeks ago," said the 6-foot, 215-pound Reid. "It was my second time there. I saw them play Vanderbilt last year. I love it up there – it's a great family atmosphere.

"My favorite parts of the visit were getting an offer from coach (Butch) Jones and going to the basketball game."

Reid's upcoming visits include Georgia Tech on March 28, South Carolina on March 29 and Louisville on April 5. He also mentioned possibly visiting Kansas State.

Reid has a timeframe for his college decision.

"I'll probably narrow my list down sometime toward to end of the school year," he said. "Most likely, I'm going to cut it to three schools.

"I'd like to have my decision made by the end of the school year, so I can focus on my school work and team.

Reid claims no favorites at this time.
