Draper Checks Out Midwest Powers

Following a transfer to Lyndhurst Brush, Matt Draper is excited for his senior season. The 2015 linebacker prospect holds offers and is a top player in the state of Ohio.

The 2015 linebacker class in Ohio is extremely deep, and Lyndhurst Brush's Matt Draper is one of the top ranked players at the position group.

Draper, 6-foot-1, 200-pounds, played at Cleveland Glenville last year before transferring to Brush. He holds multiple offers and is in the process of taking unofficial visits.

He is headed to Ohio State this coming weekend, after checking out Michigan last week.

"My trip to Michigan was great and I had been there before for their game with Notre Dame last year," Draper stated. "I got to speak with the coaching staff and watch practice. Everything was family oriented and everyone seemed so together."

"I had also been to camp there, but this visit was more about talking with everyone and getting to know everyone better," he added. "I feel very comfortable there and liked being around everyone. I would love to have an offer from Michigan, and I have friends playing there, like Frank Clark and Willie Henry."

Draper will head to Ohio State this Saturday, and he has been to Columbus before.

"I'm using these visits to get to know the coaches better, and give them a chance to know me better," he explained. "I've been to Ohio State before and like it there a lot. After Ohio State, I'm still looking at taking some other trips, but nothing is set up right now."

With offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, Ball State, Toledo and Bowling Green, Draper is off to a good start to his recruitment.

He indicated no teams are sticking out to him at this time, and he is wide open as a recruit.
