Cox an SEC guy?

Offers continue to roll in for athlete Chandler Cox and he gives each one a look. One conference stands out to him though and three schools out of that conference has his attention...

Oklahoma was the last school to offer Chandler Cox. The Sooners are one of many to extend an offer in 2014.

Plenty of others like Alabama, Auburn, BYU, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, and Tennessee have as well.

Others will offer, but will they be too late?

Cox plans to cut his list in the near future, then he will likely commit to someone late this summer.

"I have no top school right now," said Cox. "I plan to cut my list down in the spring. I will probably cut it down to five, then look to commit to someone in August or September."

Three school have already made Cox' cut. He has visited each this year and he knows they will be on his list.

"Florida, Auburn, and Alabama are definitely in my top five. I had good visits to each, I like a lot about each school, and they are all in the SEC. I have to figure out the other schools and that is what I am working on."

One key quote from Cox is, "All are in the SEC", he loves that conference.

"I guess you could say I am an SEC guy," said Cox. "I like the speed of that conference, they play exciting games each week, the play is very physical, and it is just the best conference in college football."

He is giving schools in other conferences a chance though.

"I like Oklahoma, Ohio State, and a some other schools not in the SEC. I am giving everyone a chance, so it is not just the SEC schools that I am looking at right now."

The 6-foot, 220 pound athlete out of Apopka, Fla. can do so much on the football field and he is being recruited as a fullback and H-back.

He is looking for the school he fits in best at. Cox will base his decision on how he relates to the coaching staff, how he feels on the campus, and how he fits into the offense.
