First offer in for Harris

Victor Harris had a breakout season last fall. Recently, the 2015 Charlotte (N.C.) Berry Academy wide receiver picked up his first scholarship offer.

"I just got an offer from Elon," said Victor Harris. "It was my first offer. It feels great to get the first one and takes a lot of weight off my shoulders.

Other schools are also showing interest.

"Duke, UNC, Tennessee, Louisville and N.C. State are also recruiting me," said the 6-foot-4, 190-pound Harris. "I think Duke could be close to offering."

He has started think about potential upcoming visits.

"I want to go to UNC's spring game," he said. "Then this summer, I want to visit Clemson, Duke, UNC and N.C. State."

The Berry Academy standout is unsure about when he will make his college decision.

"I don't really have a timeline for a decision," Harris said. "I just want to keep working hard and wait to see what options I have."

Harris is looking forward to his senior season.

"We only lost four seniors last year, so we just want to improve as a team," he said. "We just have to step up and work hard. Individually, I want to be a leader for my team."
