David Murray and wide receiver Alex Alders. Both players are receiving recruiting attention.
Murray, 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, is the trigger-man and the perfect quarterback for the Nordonia offense. He has the ability to complete passes from the pocket, as well as making plays outside the pocket.
"My junior year was exciting and it was my first year as a the starting quarterback," Murray said. "I think I led the team well, and I'm helped by being surrounded by great players. I'm working on being more explosive as a runner, and I want to be a true dual threat."
"I don't have any offers yet, but I've visited Toledo, Bowling Green, Kent State and Indiana," he added. "Most of these schools say they need me to come to camp to throw, and I totally get that. Some of these schools are also going to come see me this spring at the school. I'm just looking for an opportunity to play college football and get a great degree."
Alders, 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, also stars at safety for Nordonia in addition to his work at wide receiver.
"My strength would be communicating to others and knowing everyone's roles on the team," Alders said. "As a senior, I need to be more of a vocal leader. I love playing both ways and I'm willing to play anywhere on the field my team needs me to."
"I do have two offers, from Ohio University and Toledo," he reported. "I like both schools, and I was glad to get those first offers. It was a big weight off my shoulders. I've been to Toledo and liked it a lot. I have not been to Ohio for a visit, but I will be in April."
Scout.com will continue to track the Nordonia prospects throughout the coming year, and will update each player's status accordingly.
