McNamara Set for Busy Spring

6-foot-1, 180-pound junior Colin McNamara is excited for the weather to warm up. The Fairview (Ohio) junior has a busy Spring planned where he'll be displaying his talent for several schools.

Fairview (Ohio) junior Colin McNamara currently holds an offer from Buffalo. The quarterback says that since receiving that offer, he's started hearing from several other new schools.

"I'm doing well, very busy," said McNamara. "Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Purdue and Michigan State have all contacted me recently. I haven't made plans but several said they wanted to come see me throw at my high school. I will be throwing a lot in April and May for coaches."

McNamara is excited to get onto the field and show coaches what he can do.

"I think I can show a variety of strengths. I ran a 4.65 forty the other day and I think showing them I can be accurate on the run and understand the read from the pockets with a good deep ball is huge. I was watching Johnny Manziel today and his accuracy while being mobile is something I can do as well," he said.

McNamara says that while he couldn't compare himself to Manziel, they do have some similarities.

"I think we are similar because people doubt us because we aren't the prototype 6'4" quarterback. We are also similar in that we have proven results. Wherever I go to school they will get a winner. Simple. I want to compete with those guys everyone is ranking ahead of me. I want to beat them because I will outwork and out-perform them. You could say I play with a little chip on my shoulder," said McNamara.
