The 6-foot-4, 180-pound sophomore receiver is now hearing from several programs.
Ohio State also made contact and had him on campus last weekend for a visit.
"They had been in touch with Coach Fells and a couple times they talked, they said they were interested and invited me to practice."
Flowers says among the highlights was getting to meet quarterback Braxton Miller and see what a college practice atmosphere is like.
"It was a good experience. I saw a lot of competition I haven't seen before and a lot of great players. They have great players at every position."
The Buckeyes hope to continue to build a relationship with Flowers and evaluate him as his recruitment continues to expand.
"I talked to a few of the coaches. They were telling me about the program and said they wanted me to come back for practice or a scrimmage. They've been talking to my coach about summer camps, but I have a lot of AAU going on so I won't be able to make any of them."
As a sophomore, Flowers caught 62 passes for 813 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named first team All-Conference, first team All-Northwest Ohio and special mention All-State for Division-2.
