Commit Impact: John Humphrey

A closer look at the new Baylor Bear, who could realistically be used on either offense or defense as he develops in college...

Profile - John Humphrey
Ht: 6-0 Wt: 165
Position: WR
Year: Class of 2015
High School: Clear Falls HS

Committed to Baylor over offers from schools such as Arkansas, Clemson, Notre Dame, Missouri, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas Tech.

He is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 59 wide receiver prospect nationally.

As a junior in 2013, Humphrey collected 60 catches for 900 yards and 12 touchdowns to earn 24-5A First Team All-District honors.

Eval - Humphrey is a slick athlete who could actually end up playing on offense in the slot or on defense as a cornerback in college. He has an equal upside at both positions as his strengths are his agility and ability to run. He has the skills to hang with wide receivers and possibly develop in to a corner who you can put on an island. One offense, he is a multi-functional and can beat you win a number of ways and can score often. Hard to contain.
