Once tape got out on Hou. (Tex.) Second Baptist athlete Lynnard Rose it was sure to get a reaction. It showed an athlete who can get it done on either side of the ball and be a key piece in the return game.
And while several coaches have expressed interest in the 2016 athlete Rose, the first let it be known that they want to be the first.
"Houston offered me today. It feels great," Rose informed Scout.com.
As stated this will be the first for the 6-foot, 175-pound Rose. He found out about the offer when he walked into the coach's office and his high school coach was on the line with Houston coach Tony Levine. It was at that time that Rose realized that he had been offered.
Rose is also hearing from Oklahoma, Tulsa, Florida State, SMU, Oklahoma State and TCU. Rose stated that all of these programs are recruiting him as a cornerback.
Last season, he rushed for 1,165 yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively, he had five interceptions, one of went for a touchdown of over 90 yards. On top of this, he's also a top baseball player as well, where there is lots of real interest too.
