Trinity High (Ky.) junior Canon Jackson took a trip to Columbia recently to visit with the Missouri Tigers. The safety talked with Scout.com about his trip.

Canon Jackson, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound junior made a trip over to Missouri to check out their campus. Jackson was surprised about Gary Pinkel's program.

"(The visit) was great. The facilities were top notch. That was surprising, though it is the SEC. The atmosphere was just great," Jackson said.

Jackson got a chance to talk with the coaches while he was on his trip and was impressed with the staff.

"The coaching staff was personable. They all seem to be on the same page and working hard for a championship. They want to better their athletes on and off the field. " Jackson said.

Trips to other schools are on deck, but he's also been on one trip and added his first scholarship offer.

"The other schools I'm talking to are Western Kentucky, Eastern Michigan and I have an offer from Austin Peay," he said. "I have been to Western Kentucky's junior day. I plan to attend Austin Peay and Eastern Michigan, but I'm not sure on those dates yet," he finished.
