Olathe (KS) North tight end Josh Moore had one of the more eventful weeks a prospect can have recently. Three scholarship offers rolled in for the three-star prospect from Kansas.
"Minnesota, Florida State, and Auburn offered," Moore confirmed. "It was a pretty good week for me. It's great to see all the schools that are interested in me. It's a great honor. They all came and visited me."
He spoke about his interest in the Gophers.
"I'm surprised," Moore admitted about his new offer from Minnesota. "I had talked to them before but didn't think they would offer until later on. It's great to have them as an option. I like them. I watched them some during last season. It's a good program and I'd definitely consider taking a visit there."
Moore has some familiarity with the coach from Florida State that extended an offer.
"Coach Miller of Florida State was the one that gave me the offer," he noted. "I was real lucky and fortunate for them to offer. Coach Miller recruited me while he was at Minnesota. He had the other Florida State coaches look at my film and they decided to offer. It's great to be offered by the national champions. I have high interest in them."
The national runner-ups offered the Olathe tight end as well.
"I have a pretty good relationship with them," he stated about Auburn. I've spoken with them a few times. It's a great program. They just played in the national championship game so they're known for success."
A few visits are in the cards for Moore as he moves forward with his recruitment the next couple months.
"I'm going to visit Oklahoma State in May," Moore pointed out. "I have a pretty good relationship with them. They've recruited me for a while. They like max a defensive end, actually. They haven't offered yet. They have seen my film and wanted me to see the campus."
Moore will also check out the Buckeyes.
"I talk to them quite a bit," he said about Ohio State. "They'll be by next week to see me in school. I talk to Coach Warinner. I talk to the tight ends coach some as well and that's where they see me at. They like my film and can't wait to speak with me in person. Hopefully they have some good news for me. I think an offer is possible."
Moore also hopes to visit Florida State and Auburn over the summer.
