McKenzie names top five

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle defensive lineman Kahlil McKenzie finished up his final spring unofficial visit on Friday and came out with his top 12 on Saturday including his current top five.

Kahlil McKenzie finished off a whirlwind series of visits over the last week after checking out Oregon on Friday. In the last two weeks, he also visited Arizona, Arizona State, Tennessee and UCLA.

"My top five right now, in no order, is Arizona, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and USC," McKenzie said. "I'm also looking at Ohio State, UCLA, Alabama, Miami, Notre Dame, Florida and Oregon.

"I'm going to take all five of my official visits but I haven't set up any dates yet. Two schools that I know will get one are Arizona and Tennessee, those are for sure trips. Wisconsin will most likely get one as well and I still need to figure out the last two but I have plenty of time for that."

McKenzie has strong ties to several schools on his top five. He's from Wisconsin and followed the Badger program closely, Oklahoma was his early childhood favorite and his father and uncle played at Tennessee.

He attended USC's Junior Day back in January and the Trojans made a huge impression and Arizona blew him away on his recent visit earlier this week. With two visits open, it will be interesting to see if those go to the other two schools in his top five, the Trojans and Sooners, or someone from outside his top five can make up some ground and leap frog one of his current favorites.
