Elite 11 Dallas - Pressure Chamber
On a blistering hot Texas day where the temperatures approached triple digits, everyone was thankful to be in AT&T Stadium for the Elite 11 Tryout.
The tryout included nearly 80 quarterbacks from several states, but of the final seven players chosen to participate in the "Pressure Chamber", six resided from the Lone Star State including eventual MVP (Story) Jarrett Stidham of Stephenville.
The "Pressure Chamber" is a two minute drill simulation in which the participant throws in front of his peers, the counselors, and everyone else in attendance. Seven was the biggest number of players I can remember being selected, and if they chose underclassmen, there were two or three more standouts deserving. It was a deep class of passers in Dallas.
The seven participants in order that they threw were:
1. Kyler Murray, Allen
2. Chason Virgil, West Mesquite
3. Jarrett Stidham (MVP), Stephenville
4. Ross Trail, Wynne (Arkansas)
5. Dominic DeLira, Lake Travis
6. L.G. Williams, Cibolo Steele
7. Ben Hicks, Waco Midway
Here is a look at the "Pressure Chamber" and the seven finalists.
