Wood has received his one allotted phone call from Duke and Ole Miss among others, but the pace of his recruitment has really begun to quicken.

"When it all first started out, I wanted to make a decision towards the end of my junior year," said Wood. "That's changed now.

"I am thinking about getting it done sometime this summer.

"When I pick a school, I want to confident in that decision and be ready to show up the next day if I had to."

Cal, Duke, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt highlight a crowded offer list that is expected to grow in the coming weeks.

Wood plans to get out and see some programs this summer.

Some of the talented offensive lineman's college campus visits had to postponed, while Wood took a mission trip to Nicaragua.

"That was a great experience and I am glad I got to do it," said Wood. "It was hot, but it was really humbling.

"I learned a lot by taking that trip."

Heading into the summer camp sessions, Wood reports that he has his suitors on a level playing field.

"I am just trying to keep everybody even right now," said Wood. "I don't have a top school.

"I am looking for a competitive football program that has a good engineering program too.

"I don't really have any geographical restrictions. I just want to enjoy playing football and I want to get my degree in aerospace engineering."
