WR Hayward on Recruiting; Kentucky Visit

Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby High School class of 2015 wide receiver/athlete Jaylin Hayward has been drawing new interest from several FBS programs this spring. The 5-foot-10 and 170-pound junior also had high praise for Kentucky after attending the Wildcats spring game.

Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby High School wide receiver/athlete Jaylin Hayward continues to draw interest and scholarship offers this spring. The 5-foot-10 and 170-pound also attended Kentucky's spring game two weeks ago and says the Wildcats left an impression.

"Recruiting has been crazy. Michigan State was just here and they are going to come to a practice and if that goes well I think they might offer. Louisville is another school that has come by and they might be close to offering too," said Hayward of some the new interest he has been receiving.

Hayward says that Kentucky left a big impression on him after making unofficial visit there to check out the Wildcats spring game.

"I went to Kentucky a couple of days ago and it was a pretty nice place. I was caught off-guard. I thought it would be this old country, old-fashioned place but when I got there the fans were crazy about football. They welcomed me with open arms and that is really one thing that stood out to me because they welcome you as family," explained Hayward of his Bluegrass State experience.

At one time Hayward was planning on announcing his commitment on May 16th but says that date is likely to be pushed back. The rising senior says he does of a group of schools that he would consider the front-runners at this time.

"Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Miami (Fla.), Cincinnati and North Carolina," answered Hayward when asked if there was a group of schools he considered his current favorites.

Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Missouri and Iowa State have also shown interest in Hayward.
