He's also planning on taking a visit to Northwestern in early June.
Another DB Offer
When Christian Taylor was asked to speak with the Texas State Coaching Staff after practice he didn't know what was going on. "We were at practice, and the Texas State Coach wanted to talk to us after practice and he offered us," said Taylor. It was an offer that caught him by surprise. Texas State is currently his third offer to go along with Utah, and Central Florida who are already after the 6'2" 180lb strong safety. Baylor, TCU, Rice, Northwestern, and Wake Forest are other D1 programs who are showing strong interest in Christian. For the Falcons, Taylor plays a high safety position, almost the same as a strong safety position. Constantly lining up in the box, being that extra man. That's where Texas State likes him. On the field, Taylor is known as a play-maker and he takes great pride in his skill. "I just make plays, it doesn't matter how I have to make them, I just make them," said Taylor. In evaluating all of his options he's looking for a university that will present a great life experience, the opportunity to earn early playing time, but first and foremost, the best education possible. With his recruiting picking up and more offers soon to follow, Christian did say that Texas State could be getting a visit. "I've never been to Texas State, but it's definitely a school I would consider. I would probably visit on an unofficial visit, it's not that far and that not that big of a hassle," said Taylor.
