The Wolfpack have offered Jones, that is his only offer to date. That will change, but N.C. State being first means something to the talented sophomore out of Asheboro, N.C.
"When I found out about the offer, I was happy. I started crying, that is what is meant to me. I was surprised by it and it was a big deal to me."
The 6-foot-2, 180 pound athlete prefers wide receiver, but he could also project as a free safety on the next level. The versatile Jones has a clear favorite early on.
"N.C. State is on top," said Jones. "It was my dream school growing up and I have always liked their colors too. I have now visited a couple of times and I like it there a lot. They are the underdog right now too and I like that."
Duke, Florida State, North Carolina, and Florida State among others are showing interest in Jones and those four have invited him to their camp this summer.
