"The coach from Illinois State told me to give him a call a few hours after I threw for them," Muhammad-Rogers said. "It was a big relief when he offered me, because I had just been thinking to myself, finally someone noticed what I have to offer as a quarterback."
The first offer, confirms the opportunity for Muhammad-Rogers to play college ball, something he is pretty happy about.
"I am excited for the opportunity to be playing in front of thousands of people," Muhammad-Rogers said. "For one the games are live in college, and also the competition level and getting to play against other great players showing how good I really am."
Illinois State is one of many schools that have been stopping by to keep tabs on Muhammad-Rogers and the talented prospects at Richards.
"Some other schools that have come to Richards have been Wyoming, Indiana State, North Dakota State, North Dakota, South Dakota State, Western Illinois, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Georgia State, Northern Iowa, Ball State, Bowling Green, Nevada, Syracuse and a few others," Muhammad-Rogers said.
And as for visits, there are several that Muhammad-Rogers is planning on taking this summer.
"I am going to go to Illinois State, Bowling Green, Syracuse, and Michigan State for sure," Muhammad-Rogers said. "I am still working on planning some other visits.
