A ‘dream school' offer for 4-star MLB

Four-star middle linebacker Jaquan Yulee lists Clemson one of his dream schools.

A sophomore at Lakeland High School in Suffolk, Virginia, Yulee added the offer from Clemson earlier this month.

"Clemson has always been my dream school. Clemson and Ohio State, they've been my top schools that I wanted to go to. For [Clemson] to offer me, it just went up," he told CUTigers.

Why Clemson?

"To be honest, I like the way the crowd is, the colors and they're Tigers. Tigers, they ain't scared of nothing. They just go after it."

The 6-1, 258-pound prospect hasn't been to Clemson yet.

"I haven't been able to come down there for a visit, but I plan on coming down there to a camp over the summer," he said.

What about Ohio State?

"Red and grey, that was just like my favorite colors. I started liking their basketball team. Then I was like, if I start liking the basketball team, I might as well like the football team. I've just been liking them ever since I was about 7."

Emotional attachments aside, Yulee lists UNC as his favorite.

"I like UNC more because they basically showed me everything that they can do for an athlete," Yulee said. "They really take care of their players and they really care about education down there more than they do about football.

"Basically, I probably would have another favorite if I took more visits, but UNC and Virginia Tech are the only two schools I've visited right now."

Along with Clemson, Yulee also has offers from Michigan, UNC, Notre Dame, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

In addition to the Clemson camp, he hopes to visit Alabama and UNC this summer.

As a sophomore, Yulee had 89 tackles, three sacks and an interception.

Yulee finished his freshman season with 95 tackles, 10 sacks, and an interception.
