Johnson considering options

Terrence Johnson is a two-sport athlete who knows he has a decision to make. Read on to see what he says about his future sport and more.

Regardless of sport, it is hard to argue against Vail (Ariz.) Cienega 2015 football and basketball star Terrence Johnson being the best athlete in the Tucson metro area.

He has already reeled in major offers for both sports and he is hoping to open even more eyes this summer.

"Right now I'm just working on my basketball and football skills," Johnson said. "I've got a couple camps coming up here for football. USC and UCLA camps will be a great time for me to show everyone what I can do. Then come July I'm all in on basketball."

Johnson is in the unique position to be able to choose which sport he wants to pursue at the next level.

"Pretty much all the Pac-12 except a couple schools are recruiting me for football and in basketball it's pretty much the same list of schools, except Gonzaga is recruiting me now," he said. Anytime a school like that shows interest it makes you think about some stuff."

Nonetheless, Johnson is leaning towards playing football at the next level.

"I'm far from decided on it, but if I had to choose right now it would probably be football," he said. "Once the summer is over I'm going to try and see where things stand, because I would like to decide during my senior season if possible."

Arizona has to feel alright about its position in Johnson's recruitment.

"They've been on me from the beginning and they've talked at length about how they would use me in the secondary," he said. "They've been good.

"I just need to figure out where I'm going to take my visits, because I need to be able to compare Arizona to something."
