Ellis talked about why he decided to attend the Mississippi State camp.
"I came to this camp to get better and learn some technique that may help me get better my senior year and perform in front of some college coaches," said the talented youngster.
He explained why the Mississippi State coaches invited him to the camp.
"They said that I have good feet, like how I play, impressed with me on film and wanted to get a chance to work with me in person," said Ellis.
He came away impressed with Mississippi State offensive line coach John Hevesy.
"He knows what he's talking about," said Ellis. "I learned a ton from him in just the short time that we had."
Mississippi State is one of several colleges that have either talked to him or offered a scholarship.
"Right now, I have offers from Georgia Southern, Appalachian State, Furman and Elon," said Ellis. "I've talked to Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Mississippi State."
Wednesday's camp was the first of the summer for the young offensive lineman. He has three more scheduled the next two weeks.
"This is my first camp this year," said Ellis. "I'm also scheduled to go to Florida Friday, then UNC at Chapel Hill and Georgia on the 13th and 14th (of June)."
He enjoys attending the camps. His parents come along to give him feedback about the camps.
"I love doing this," said Ellis. "My parents come with me and make a day out of it. Usually, when we leave my parents will ask me what it's like, what the coaches were like, did I learn anything that was useful, what I got out of it"
